More cop killing goodness....

WILMINGTON, South Carolina (AP) -- A teenager accused of robbing a student of two new Playstation 3s on the day the popular game consoles were introduced was shot to death by police sent to arrest him.

Peyton Strickland, 18, was killed Friday at a house he shared with three roommates, New Hanover County Sheriff Sid Causey said.

"If this boy would've come to the door, opened the door, we probably wouldn't be talking," the sheriff said Sunday.

Strickland's dog, a German shepherd, also was shot to death.

Sigh.....

Roommate Mike Rhoton said Strickland was unarmed, but may have been holding a video game controller when he went to the door as it was bashed in by officers.

I thought this post was going to be about this:

It does make an interesting counter argument. Cops being killed in these types of situations tend to be the reason why kids get shot in situations like the one in the op.

I'm not the world's biggest fan of how police tend to do their job, and obviously death's like the one in the OP are regrettable, but one of the important lessons to take from this is that when confronted with somebody who can legally make you dead, don't [censored] around.

I have less sympathy for this jerk-off than I do for some of the other recent police shooting victims that have been discussed on here. You're a student at UNC, you're walking along on campus and see one of your fellow students unloading two PS3's from the back of his car...so what do you do? You beat him down and steal them of course!

And this whole PS3 thing is out of control. I'm sure Sony is just loving all of this negative press that they're getting due to their decision to artificially create a shortage of game systems on the market.

In general, cops are pussies.

How many times on COPS do you see people slammed to the ground with a knee to the forehead for "tensing up" when someone (a cop) unexpectedly grabs from behind?

Pretty much a joke how big of wusses these guys are (in general).

Also, why does it take half the [censored] police force to deal with most of these cases that involve a single person of a couple?

I think it was Sunday I was watching when one of the Cops says "No...it's your fault there are 15 policemen here! "

ummmm, no Mr. Police Officer...It is YOUR fault that you need 15 [censored] policemen to deal with one [censored] person.
