Moneybookers

For those that have used it...

1a) How long does it take to wire money from your bank to them?
b) how long to transfer from Moneybookers to poker sites?
c) how long to withdraw from Moneybookers back to bank?

2a) What is the max deposit from Moneybookers into a poker site?
b) fees?

3) Overall opinions?

Re: Moneybookers

1a) never tried.
1b) instant.
1c) about a week.

2a) depends on the site. pokerstars maxes out at $600 per deposit, party maxes at $500, etc. you have incoming/outgoing limits for your account. after your credit card gets verified, they up everything. once your bank is verified, they up it again. i have somewhere around 15k transfers over a 90-day period.
2b) free to/from sites. getting money to/from moneybookers will depend on how much your bank charges for international bank wires.

3) if you're non-US, it's a good replacement for NETELLER for everyone except the high rollin ballers.

hmmm. I like to play 5/10 NL + so I need to make deposits of atleast 10k min into the different sites...

I'm non US, anything else besides Neteller or Moneybookers that would allow you to make larger deposits?

if you're canadian you can use party's EFT to get money directly get money to/from your bank account.

pokerstars appears to have similar options for various banks from other countries.

since you play fairly high, click2pay may be another option for you. you'll need to eat up the wire fees though. the debit card is still shakey(read the canadian thread about options).

Re: Moneybookers

The country I live in, the banks go through US intermediary so you can't send wires.

I don't care about wire fees, as long there is no percentage fee.
The main parameter is that I can send large outgoing transactions (>$10k) from them to the pokersite.

I want to see if there is a good alternative to Neteller.

Re: Moneybookers

well, if you can't send/receive wires you're pretty screwed. your best bet is probably to have some high stakes friends who can help you out with money in other means.

I can wire money to a Neteller or Moneybookers from my bank. I just can't wire directly to my poker accounts.

I just want to see if there any viable alternatives to Neteller.

Re: Moneybookers

1a)2 days or less
b) instant
c) a few days

2a)Ongame network 500$ in addition to the previously mentioned
b)Only when you are withdrawing to your bank account and it is a small fee of 2.5$ etc

3) I use only moneybookers and don't complain over nothing, maybe the spport is too slow.

Thanks.

Is that $500 a day/ week/ month? Can you do multiple $500 transactions at once?

Don't wire the funds in USD then. There is no US intermediary for non-USD transactions.
