Creepy gossip about Wayne Brady
 

Brady has always rubbed me the wrong way, sort of a fingernails-on-the-chalkboard presence on the TV, not really funny, way too cloying and smiley, and basically just kind of an idiot. This is why I haven't seen that Don't Forget the Lyrics show.

But I had assumed he was probably at least a nice guy, pretty cool, one of those decent dudes in Hollywood who just happen to have no talent but are fine people.

Not the case.

A friend of mine is working in casting for Don't Forget the Lyrics. The Casting Manager for the show is a really hot chick from Laguna Beach (the city, not the show). So one day, one of the execs for the show came up to her and made the following proposal:

Him: Hi there, I'm here to tell you that Wayne likes you.
Her: Uh... oh, ok. Well I have a boyfriend.
Him: You don't understand, Wayne Brady likes you.
Her: Thanks, but I do have a serious boyfriend.
Him: Maybe you're not hearing me. Wayne Brady wants to date you.
Her: I heard you, I understand. My boyfriend and I have been in love for two years and we're probably going to get married. I'm sorry.
Him: I know, I know -- but let me make this clear to you: Wayne likes you. Get it?
Her: [walks away]

So a few minutes later, Wayne comes over himself to talk to the poor girl. He gets all up in her face, hitting on her and cornering her, obviously assuming his guy didn't work hard enough to convince her to go out with him.

Ew.

Meh. Not nearly as creepy as I had hoped. I hardly even consider this gossip.

That makes two of you to say this bizarre comment. How is this story not funny/weird/gross? Do you and amplify walk around ordering minions to repeatedly hit on unavailable women for you? Is this standard?
