Against a better player I'd agree there's not much value in betting. This guy is calling you with so many hands though, I'm definitely putting him in here. I'm guessing he'd be value betting his trip queens anyway if you check (though who knows with a 76/3), so you don't lose a lot by pushing compared to c/cing when you're beat either, even though you feel more stupid.
