Won FTP satellite, can i unregister and get Sat token?
 

Just won an ftp satellite and it automatically has registered me for the torunament, when i go to the lobby it doesnt let me unregister. is there a way to unreg for the tounrmaent and get satellite tokens or something beucase i am not able to make the tournament date.

Generally the answer is "no". FTPDoug has been asked about some sort of equivalent to PokerStars' T$ and has indicated (at least in previous "FTP Answers" threads) that something is coming. When - even which year - is still unclear, however.

I won a super^2 sat, then the super sat to a $1k sat to last year's Aussie tournament. I would have preferred to play, say, five Sunday tournaments, but there was no way to unregister (and yes, I asked support).

Yep if you win a satellite to a FTP tourney you have to play in that tournament. But if you qualify twice they give you the money.... so just qualify twice and play in it IMO.

What happens if you register for the tournament with cash right before you win the satellite? Can you then unregister after you have the cash?

Actually I never thought about that. That is an excellent question. I would assume that since you are already registered for the tourney that the sat win would give you cash. Then you should be able to unregister from the tourney since you paid in cash. I would think that this would work.

This sounds like something it's likely Full Tilt has thought out deliberately ahead of time.
Without having any specific knowledge, I'm going to guess it doesn't work.
If I had to guess, I would guess cash used to register is allowed back into accounts but primary/first sat wins simply aren't no matter the order you try to do it.
If designing a system where it's obvious they deliberately chose not to allow unregistering from first sat wins, my guess is this is already built into their system to not have a workaround from the player end.

edit: I'll once again express my hope this is changed to some form of $T system in the next erm... year or two?
