looking at my passport, its got maybe 10 pages with 4 boxes each where they stamp when you enter/exit a country. what do you do when all these are filled? i mean one eurotrip and this thing could be full

You can get extra passport pages. I think you have to send it in and pay some fee and the govt will just add them on. And one Eurotrip won't get too many stamps anymore, with the Schengen agreement and all.

beware of 3rd world countries....I had a bad experience trying to get in with a "full passport" and they tried to get a bribe out of me

If I remember correctly, you can take your passport to a US embassy and they will ad additional pages for free. It says this somewhere on the passport. I'm going to have to do this soon since the Lao visa I have to get every month takes up an entire page.

I've had pages added to a couple passports. I use a Visa service though to walk it through the process. Expensive, but worth it.

Its probably quicker to do this at an american embassy abroad then to have it done in the states. Also I'm pretty sure you have to have less then 4 pages for them to give you more, at least that was the rule in one embassy I went to.

I'm about to role to the American embassy in Damascus to have this done tomorrow. That place is a clown show. I went there once carrying a knife in my pocket. They had a metal detector, so I gave it to the (syrian) guards and went in. As I leave a couple hours later, they give it back to me open. They cant figure out how to close it, and one of them is bleeding from the hand.

Just want to add you will get very few stamps in a trip to Europe as I think you will only get stamps as you enter/exit the EU.
