Paradise finally moving
That dreaded day is here...or maybe not dreaded, if they keep the bonus clearing terms. Received this email today:
---------- Dear player, This is a very important announcement about your ParadisePoker account. From Thursday May 24th 2007, your poker account will change forever as ParadisePoker move to a new and improved software. In 2004 Sportingbet PLC group purchased ParadisePoker and we are now merging all our players on to one improved poker standard: the NEW ParadisePoker. This means more players, more action and more ways for you to win! Login any time from Thursday using your existing username and password and after a very short upgrade process you will be taken to the new Paradise Lobby. It is important to note that you will still be playing on new software so navigating the lobby and playing at the tables will be slightly different to what you are used to. The new ParadisePoker will offer you enhanced graphics which are easier on the eye for those long sessions in front of your screen. We will also introduce a new chip transfer system offering more funding methods and easier management of your money. Your new Sportingbet/ParadisePoker account will now also allow you to play in the NEW ParadiseCasino & Blackjack and place sports wagers through the award winning Sportingbet.com. Your existing account balance and bonuses will be transferred automatically. The new ParadisePoker will offer you exclusive promotions such as Paradise RUSH where one player will win a shopping spree worth €100,000, The New World where one player will walk away with the $100,000 first prize, Monday Night Takedown (the biggest bounty tournament on the net) and WSOP Last Chance. Click on the link for instructions on the upgrade. http://trc1.emv2.com/I?a=A9X7CqhJ9B6Y8TJxk6KLAyziGw We will be in touch again in the next few days but in the meantime if you have any questions regarding this upgrade please contact customer services by emailing support@paradisepoker.com. Best Regards, ParadisePoker A Sportingbet brand. |

Re: Paradise finally moving
So what network is it on?
|
Re: Paradise finally moving
According to the email I received from SportingOdds, Paradise Poker will be joining the International Poker Network (Boss Media).
If the yahoo poker site gets rolling as well, IPN could make a big move up the rankings at PokerSiteScout (currently #11). |
Re: Paradise finally moving
Sorry, thought that was commonly know. Indeed, Boss will be their new home.
Kosmos, very true...and that could be a lot of fish on one site! |

Re: Paradise finally moving
Well, we're at least going to get a $50 bonus at the old terms, that's on their site. Hopefully we'll get lucky and they'll transfer existing bonus over too!
|
Re: Paradise finally moving
Boss Network - their "award winning software" has awful gaudy graphics and intrusive annoying sounds. Modding them freezes the tables...???
I have accounts on both - this could be interesting. Paradise - $100 uncleared bonus and 25k points. Boss - 30% rb and uncleared sign-up bonus. Haven't heard if I have to close one or the other yet. Edit: here's a weird one - when I play Boss AND Party my PARTY buttons disappear... |
Re: Paradise finally moving
Just did the software download, transferred everything OK...except it shorted me 4 cents on the money transfer...WTF? LOL.
All of my useless Paradise Points are now FPPs, my $750 in pending bonus is there too. I'm not sure what I need to do to get that $50 bonus that was showing up on the site yesterday, I don't see it now. Most importantly, I don't know how the bonus clears yet. The only place I see any real good bonus information is under the support tab in the software, there is a button for bonus information. It shows me with no bonus there, even though it shows $750 in the lobby. However, it also says it updates every 2 hours, so maybe I just need to give it some time. If anyone gets any info on bonus clearance, let us know! |
Re: Paradise finally moving
$5.00 cleared for 100 fpp's earned. remember old paradise was $10.00 for the same. and from their site:
"In cash games, you will earn 1 point for every $0.25 you rake. You only earn points by contributing to the pot. For both Single Table tournaments and Multi Table Tournaments such as Monday Night Takedown or Best of British, 4 points will be earned for every $1 in tournament fee." And new players have 180 days to clear bonuses. Hope I'm not considered a new player because I still need to build my roll a bit before moving up to a limit where i can actually clear the bonus. |
Re: Paradise finally moving
Are they saying this is applicable to YOUR bonus, or is this just their general bonus clearing terms? On the bonus page in the software, they have categories for raked hands bonuses, reload bonuses, and FPP bonuses.

Re: Paradise finally moving
general bonus clearing terms from their webpage

Re: Paradise finally moving
I see this going one of two ways:
1) They let us clear our existing bonus under the old terms...woo-hoo! 2) They make us clear it under their crappy system which equates to 20% contributed rakeback, in which case, it's time for me to withdraw everything. Unfortunately, I imagine option 2 is MUCH more likely than option 1. |
Re: Paradise finally moving
^^ 1)
Pleeeeaase! |
Re: Paradise finally moving
So it upgraded but now my Paradise poker directory where everything used to run out of is now deleted and all the awesome notes I had on villians seems to be busto. well they werent that awesome but still, am I missing something obvious? I'd like to be able to get them back if possible....and it seems that Boss keeps a seperate notes file for each person so it looks like a lost cause.

Re: Paradise finally moving
Paradise had a WSOP Mayhem tournament for June 3rd with 10 seats guranteed to the Main Eventand that is now vanished.
I had qualified and the field looked like it wasn't even reaching 1000 players. That's about 120-150 bucks in EV gone with the wind |

Re: Paradise finally moving
Since the move to Boss I now see that SpyBot is picking up C:\Casino (where Paradise poker got installed) as potential spyware?
Whats up with that? Any cause for concern? |
Re: Paradise finally moving
I sent these guys email asking them to withdraw for me (I'm having trouble logging in) and haven't received a response yet. Is there a new email address for paradise support? |
Re: Paradise finally moving
Started out at paradise. Feeling nostalgic and maybe a little bit tearful. How could you beat software which set the cards on fire when you hit a big hand? May not bother if the bonuses are no good.

Re: Paradise finally moving
I'm having problems logging in aswell. Trying to get help from support but they are pretty much useless.

Got the sofware downloaded but cant login with my old username and password. Support send me a new password (twice) and that would still not help. Exact same thing happened when Doyle's Room moved to Prima. I have another account on the network (same with Prima) with rakeback so I will just play there. Only had .40 left on Paradise anyway. |
Re: Paradise finally moving
Finally got an email confirming the bad news. First, my email:
---------- Hello, I have some pending bonus that came over with the new software. Although it shows as pending in the lobby, I can’t find any information on how to track its clearance…it doesn’t show up when I click the Support tab and then the Bonus Information page. Are you honoring the original terms of 10x raked hands that were agreed to when I deposited for the bonuses? Also, for some reason my currency has been switched to Canadian $ in your cashier. I’m not sure why, I certainly didn’t request this. I play in US $, and my eWallet is in US $, so changing it to Canadian $ in between seems pointless and just costs me money. Can it please be changed back to US $? Thanks for your time, and have a GREAT day! Bonus Whore ---------- Their reply: ---------- Hello Bonus Whore, Thank you for your email. Having reviewed your account I can see that you have a current bonus of $750 CAD, which requires 15,000 FPP’s to release these funds. You have yet to earn any FPP’s towards this total. As you are a Canadian resident your account was assigned to the Canadian SportingBet site during the migration, thus your currency will be in Canadian Dollars. We are unable to alter this for you. Regards, Antony Customer Care --------- HAHAHAHAHA....very funny, Paradise. Not that I expected anything different. So long Paradise! |

Re: Paradise finally moving
I only had 25%-30% of my PSO bonus left to do, pff... I'm curious what will happen now, i can't even find any raked hand info on the new client.

Re: Paradise finally moving
Final Paradise trip report for me. Just got my last cashout of $647 US...cost me $8.41 in exchange vig. Leaves me with $0.12 in my account, and $750 in uncleared bonus.
Just to remind everyone, the cashout process is rather odd in that you can't really tell it went through properly. Then a couple of days later...surprise! You receive your money. Bye Paradise...I'll miss your great software, your PAHUD compatibility, your huge table selection...oh wait, you had none of those things. However, I WILL miss your fish. Perhaps I'll find a better Boss skin and catch those fish with a different net. dlk9s - time for PSO to bring in a different Boss skin, perhaps? |
Re: Paradise finally moving
I had a little over $2000 dollars in my account and just today i was aware of this change of network when i read this post.
I tried installing the new software on my desktop but after downloading starting instalation when i reached the point where more stuff is downloaded from boss media ftp in the end it asked my kerio firewall to let my asus BIOS upgrade utility run and if i clicked yes it would just launch it and close poker software. If i choose no the poker software closes too!!! I tried instaling in my wife laptop and all went well. Anyway i had my dolars converted in euros since i live in Portugal and just cashed all threw bank transfer. When money arrives i will reply here. Oh, i also have around $300 in bonus but i couldn´t care less about it. |
Re: Paradise finally moving
