Just rode an earthquake!

5.6 magnitude... felt my house shaking pretty hard and I'm about 90 miles from epicenter. Really trippy! Hadn't felt one in awhile!

Yeah.. I feel bad for people in the SF Bay Area... they're screwed eventually... just a matter of when.

what are the chances on aftershocks and the like. This one was bigger than most, but after i got out of the archway, i went right back to playing poker and watching tv.

The 89 earthquake made me fall over while I was kneeling down at soccer practice. About 90 miles from that one as well. I didn't even know it was an earthquake till I got home and found out the World Series was postponed.

Re: Just rode an earthquake!

Felt it in Palo Alto. Just a five-second rumble. The USGS site says there is a 30% chance of damage causing aftershocks in the next week and a 5-10% chance of an equal or stronger shake in the next week.

GO WARRIORS!!! I don't think they even paused the game for the quake. No mention of it on the broadcast, unless I missed it when I went out to check if my motorcycle fell down.

wasn't that bad in SJ (Almaden) although it was a pretty decent shaker.
