My great thanks to whoMever solves this problem tonight

I have 3 Monitors set up.

The Two 20" monitors are running fine.

But the 30" when set to it's proper resolution of 2560 x 1600 makes for a huge image on the screen.

Basically I need someone to tell me how to make the 2560 x 1600 image fit on to my 30" monitor.

The 30" and 20" are both running off my PCIe card, the other 20 off a PCI card.

Funkyworms is stumped

1. You're sure the pcie card can run a 20" and a 30" at the same time?
2. Does the 30" work if it is the only monitor plugged into it?
3. Can the pci card run the 30" monitor by itself?
4. Can the pci card run 2 20" monitors?
5. Did the setup ever work?

1. No I'm not sure.

2. The PCI card cannot run the 30" by itself. I got the monitor two days ago and have never seen it properly configured off of either the PCIe or PCI card, at 2560 x 1600 the image is always too big for the screen, whether the monitor is hooked up by itself, with another monitor or with 2 other monitors.

3. No, I see no image when hooking the 30" up to the PCI card.

4. The PCI can run two 20's but one of the images looks a bit stretched.

5. The setup has never worked. The closest it has come is running one 20 off of the PCI, the other 20 off of the PCIe, and the 30 is always messed running off of the PCIe.

I'm beginning to think I have a hardware problem, if so - how can we solve this?

as always thanks greatly.

I have a 256 MB ATI Radeon X1300 PRO card, and I've been told this can run a 30" monitor, can it??

I feel like I've tried everything to configure this thing.

Check the FAQ here or search for 30" monitors in this forum for discussion of what a dual link DVI port looks like, I'm not sure if you can plug a dual into a single without having to push really, really hard so that may not be it.

Or just try the 30" in the other port on the video card.

It sounds like you have a hardware problem. I was reading a review of your card when my browser crashed and now the nyquil is kicking in so I'm going to bed.

Good luck and my FT screen name is the same as my 2+2 one...

From the specs listed on ATI website.
# Flexible display support

* Dual integrated DVI transmitters (one dual-link + one single-link)

x1300 Specs
What that means is only one of the outputs is capable of driving the 30in at the native resolution. Check your manual or look at the pictures in the FAQ to make sure you are plugging the 30in cable into the right one.

Waarior, I have it plugged into what I believe is the DVI input - the white plug. The white plug is the only one that comes out of my monitor.

Solution still up for grabs, the image on the screen is way to big.

It doesn't have two DVI plugs? One is VGA and blue? If that is the case you have a hardware problem.

You have all the latest drivers and what not installed for the cards?
