Hero folded. I was villain. Hero was Poker Stars pro Bill Chen. I couldn't believe when I saw the replay and he had AJ. I had T9s for a gutshot straight flush draw and was 48% versus hero's hand.

This is a flop that is likely to miss a lot of his hands. I kind of expected to be flipping versus xJ, JJ-AA, 66-77 and fold most other hands.

The hand right before that I had called on the button and made the same play with 2-pair on a drawier board and my opponent had pushed with TPGK. There hadn't been many limps, and he may have been suspicious that limp/call and pot the flop meant an overpair or set. Also, this is the final table, and he probably was scared to gamble.

Preflop seems OK. Against what I had, the complete is better, but I was more likely to have weaker hand and might not even call the raise. Kind of tricky situation if I limpreraise, as he doesn't know if I really have a hand that dominates his.

I think I'm opening that hand preflop there with those stack sizes much moreso than limp/calling.

but its pot limit so you can limp/call sooo much because they can only raise the pot preflop!!

Yeh, and I probably usually raise too. You got to remember this is pot limit, so there is much less to steal with a raise, and I know he can only raise OOP to 4xBB. If I raise, it is harder to call a reraise. I also wanted to keep the pot small, as I am not looking for big gambles with the final table payout structure. I played a very conservative game preflop throughout, and I think it worked pretty well with the pot limit structure.

This isn't NVG, but how did he become a Stars pro? Was he on TV? He shows an overall loss on Stars on OPR.
