200nl TPTK vs UTG raise pf

new to table, 8th hand. UTG raises 4x.

Hero (CO): $211.25
BTN: $187
SB: $537.65
BB: $303.53
UTG: $292.20
MP: $156.80

Pre-Flop: Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (CO)
UTG raises to $8, MP folds, Hero calls $8, 2 folds, BB calls $6

Flop: ($25) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 Players)
BB checks, UTG bets $15, Hero calls $15, BB calls $15

Turn: ($70) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 Players)
BB checks, UTG bets $50, Hero calls $50, BB folds

River: ($170) 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
UTG bets $219.20 and is All-In, Hero has 134 left

if we call the turn its to call a blank river here right? I dont like raising turn because that just turns our hand into a bluff doesnt it?

reasons for folding:

villians range prolly has me smoked,
3 barelled into 2 people

reasons for calling

under rep'd hand.
villian could have alot of missed combo's
bit over 2:1 to make the call.

what do we do here? for those who ay fold, how do you play this pot beforehand so that we dont invest so much only to fold

~~ Edit

is this hand any different? maybe this hand a greater case could be made for raising the turn? which line is best. only 12 hands into table,

As played i think i call the river shove, but not too happy about it.

I'd repop pre and see what happens tbh as you have position and can reassess as the hand plays out

in the first hand i think i'd fold the turn but it's a really close spot. though i think if you're gonna go with the hand you need to shove then and there b/c it looks like BB has a draw and you want to price him out. so def fold or shove but prolly fold

in hand two, i'd just raise/call the flop. lol blind battles

i didnt see that he bet 15 at 25, most times id raise this flop, i thought he bet 85% of pot and i didnt want to get into a 3bet shove scenario with TPTK vs an UTG raising range of an unknown.

casper can you expand a bit?

dump it on the turn in hand 1.

Villain's hand looks a lot like JJ+ in hand 1, fold turn and you're always smoked on the river.

Hand 2 you'd need a read that he isn't over-aggro to go broke here. Calling turn isn't as bad as hand 1, but I'd fold the river. Again, unless you have a read. I'm going to assume an unknown isn't ever pushing this river as a bluff with the bare A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] or something and he isn't value betting KJ or some [censored] unless he's nutso aggro.

Hand 2 looks like a river fold unless you've got an aggro/bluffy read on the guy. On hand 1 I think we gotta raise that flop w/ TPTK on a wettish board. Also, repopping PF is always an option.

Forgot to mention - what about a flop raise on hand 2 to protect ourselves? I mean we're pretty strong if called and we can fold out draws as well.

[/ QUOTE ]Sorry, I hate 1-liner posts and today I've been full of them.

Well, UTG is betting the flop and turn into 2 other players which is very very strong. You pretty much only beat KQ and [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] draws...I would expect UTG to check those a lot on the turn, plus you still have BB to worry about behind you. He has JJ+/JQ almost always here imo.
