Installing a Graphics Card

The most advanced technical work I have done on a computer is plugging it in. I just purchased the Dell 30" widescreen and I need a new graphics card to support it. How difficult is it to install a graphics card? Would it be smarter for me to have someone come in and install it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. If graphics card installation takes technical expertise and you live in New York City and can help, I'll pay for installation. PM me.

It's about the easiest thing you can do while still having to open the case. If anything, you'll be too cautious, and have trouble working-up the nerve to really push the card into the slot.

I expect there are pictoral tutorials out there, but I haven't looked. I definitely thing this is something a pokerplayer should be able to do.

Re: Installing a Video Card

The only iffy thing for a newb is going to be the extra power plug that is probably going to be required by a video card that will run a 30" monitor. I say this because I'm not a newb and was perplexed by the extra power plug that came with the card I want to put in my Vista box.
