Toughness of play at different levels on Pokerstars

I have been playing 5 card draw at pokerstars for about 8 months. Most of that has been PL at the .25/.5 level. I have now reached the point where I win consistently, probably about 8 winning sessions out of 10. I've never figured out how many BBs per hour.

I have tried moving up to .5/1 a few times and it has been tough. Up here I lose more often than I win and the losses are larger than the winning sessions. I've tried playing the same as I do at .25/.5 and also tightening up without any real difference in results.

It seems to me that there are so few PL games on Stars that very good players are playing at the .5/1 level but that .25/.5 is entry level and much softer.

So...it is tempting to stay at .25/.5.

I would be interested in any other opinions or comments on this.

I agree, the .5/1 level is much more difficult than .25/.50. At the lowest level you get to play new players all the time who just pop in for a few rounds of draw. You don't have a lot of these at the .50/1$ level and above.

You could stay at your current level and/or give Fixed Limit a try (begin at .50/1$), where it is easier to move up levels more quickly.

Maybe you're not bluffing enough?

actually, i think they bluff 2 much up there @ .50/1.00 for
what is deemed proper... but u need a hella roll and patience vs. the swings.
Soft? try the 1.00 sng's [ and especially the new 2.20 turbo sng's]for a change of pace.
You're dead on w/ your instincts, bro... stick w/ the .25/.50 for now... if u want to take a shot @ .5/1, best to do it on weekends.

to clarify, I wonder if OP doesn't bluff-raise on the end enough.
