check behind river. the only way he folds is if he has a missed club draw or an 8. you gain no value by betting

I think folding/calling with AJ is better preflop.
It is a hand with little value and bad reverse implied odds.
Turn raise is okay I guess, if you think you can fold out 9s 8's 7's 3's.
I give up on the river after him calling my big turn raise.
You just have A high or am I missing something?

oh come on you nits. AJ on the button is an easily raisable hand. Raise is fine OP.

However, bluffing at this board is not so sexy. Too many draws he'll call with, plus the fact that after you lack of a cbet random-donk-A will not believe you have anything on the turn.

I actually do not generally like raising over EP limper in L1 with AJ. It's certainly worth mentioning even if you dont sacrifice all of your EV doing it.

As played I dont really like the turn raise multi way here, its really not a good bluff card and people at this level just dont lay down wide enough ranges as it stands esp. after the flop checks through. id rather just call this.

When u call the turn and u get checked to or donkbet/called on the river would u bluff the river ??

I think it looks alot like cash game play.

I think standard is to just be a nit and call/fold pf, c/f flop, call turn, c/f river. Not worth all of this so early unless stt strategy changed alot in the last few months.

Agreed.
Also A/J raise on the button is good. But why raise the turn?? You have nothing. calling his bet maybe ok since its a min bet of 20.
