ongame what is better?

When getting a rake back on ongame you have two options to get a:

normal rake back lets say 35% from betsson, eurobet etc

or a combinated one like tower, next etc here you get like 30% + the bonus from the site

On the firs sight the second is indubitably better, but this sites deduct the bonus from the MGR, and at the end you re reciving less that you would with normal rb.

They say you can get 60% combined but that is form the deducted number.

So did anyone made some comparissons, which one to choose?

Re: ongame what is better?

A 7x bonus crushes any RB only deal, at least at my stakes (1/2-3/6 SH FL).

Re: ongame what is better?

Is it possible to see some calculation how the things go on various sites would like to know for eurobet, tower, betsson and next poker for the rake back at 30% and at 50% if no one has this I will do it myself and post it here

Re: ongame what is better?

and how does it all actually work
on:

eurobet you get only rakeback no extra bonus nothing deducted

next you get 16x bonus and rb is deducted from the bonus you have recived

tower do you get any additional bonuses after the first two x5 and x9, is it on fixed deal or private?

betsson just rake back, something deducted?

would realy like to get down to rock bottom of this ongame (confusing) offers

I'm also looking for a breakdown on how tower rb works.

Re: ongame what is better?

The Ongame skins all work identically in that bonuses are deducted from MGR.

Towergaming runs continuous 7x bonuses in addition to their 5x and 10x signup bonuses, and frequently has 5x and 6x reloads. Typically, with rakeback, this is the best deal on Ongame. Having said that, this of course depends on your level and style of play. Towergaming, similar to the other Ongame skins, does not facilitate rakeback, and you rely on your affiliate for a rate and payment.

You're best off picking a skin that offers greater value for your style of play. For some, Towergaming continuous bonuses and rakeback can amount to 65-80% total rake back, for others, an offer with a higher rakeback percentage without bonuses may be optimal.

Re: ongame what is better?

I think Tower & Hollywood are definitely the best out there.

You can get constant 8x bonuses at Hollywood through some affiliates, RTR for one...no RB though. Hollywood also has "Happy Hour" bonuses for certain sets and quads that give a little additional value.

Tower offers the 5x signup bonus, and then they usually offer a 5x reload when you clear that, I believe. I think I had 3500 points when I was done clearing those, then earned 100 more points so I could buy the 7x $500 bonus for 3600 points. Once you clear that, you will have 3500 points again. You can keep buying these bonuses, so effectively at worst case you have a constant 7.2x bonus there. If they offer a reload (I am working on a 6x $500 right now), that gives you enough points to top up that extra 100 points you need for the 7x for a long time. Also, if you ask for PMs in the Tower thread here, you may be able to get a little more something else.

Re: ongame what is better?

So is there an approximate equivalent rakeback rate(ie:40%)
for clearing Tower bonuses?

Bobo Fett 10-04-2007 12:50 AM

Re: ongame what is better?

For a real example, I'll share my Tower stats for last month.

I generated $1,916.71 in MGR while clearing $1,000 in bonus. That's about 52% of my rake back...so who cares if the bonus is deducted from the MGR for any RB?

If I were to receive 30% RB with no bonus, that would only be $575.01.

If I were to receive 30% RB after the bonus above, the $1,000 would be deducted from the $1,916.71, for a net MGR of $916.71. 30% of that would be $275.01, which makes for $1,275.01 with the bonuses, or 66.5% RB.

Re: ongame what is better?

That's good info. I could provide further insight as I have a feeling we play at about the same level. I play 2/4nl - max 5 at ongame too..but not Tower. What are your stakes and
and how many hands does that represent? Thanks.

Bobo Fett 10-04-2007 02:16 AM

Re: ongame what is better?

Mostly 2/4-3/6 5-Max, but FL, not NL.

I don't bother tracking hands (I could look it up in PT of course), but I know it was 115 table hours. I'm guessing that would be around 12,000 hands.

so what styles of play are best for what skin, we say you can get 35% on tower and 45% on betsson or eurobet

It seems that this is a limited time offer. Does anyone know how long this tower bonus thing has been available???

At least several months, AFAIK.

Re: ongame what is better?

did I get this right, the higher limits you play, the higher the chance that a pure rakeback deal could be better for you than a combined one? so at lower limits the combined is better?

Since bonuses are deducted from MGR, and NOT from RB, I don't think there could ever be a situation where RB > RB + Bonus.

Re: ongame what is better?

I have been more of a bonus whore than a rakeback player but I am lately leaning more on the rakeback side and I am going to stay put for a while. I played at two ongame sites over the last couple of months and can comment on them. Betsson and Tower.
I play midstakes (both full and short) and usually 4 table.
My numbers for both sites have rb at about the mid 50's with bonuses cashbacks, rakeback etc... I get a better rb rate at Betsson but it seems that Tower may offer more reload bonuses(the future will tell). The thing is both worked quite well for me. I could not find any reload history on Betsson on bonuswhores and they don't even list tower? Anyhow both are good but I think I will lean towards Betsson as the rb rate I have is higher than Tower.

Bobo Fett 10-09-2007 02:31 PM

Re: ongame what is better?

You don't need reloads at Tower. 3600 points for a 7x $500 bonus in their store...just keep buying bonuses when there's no reloads.

What is the best RB deal for Tower or any other Ongame site?
Some other than Betsson,Hollywood or Pokerroom.
I hope there is some over 40% RB possibility.
