Re: NL200: monster out of position

I'd usually bet here a 1/2 - 2/3 pot amount that seems like scared money, but if I am gonna play tricky and C/C against certain aggro opponents...I think I would C/R the river

checking is so bad here.

Re: NL200: monster out of position

I think betting something like 17 would be good, make it look like a defensive bet.

Depends on the situation. Reads like how aggressive he is on floating paired flops and bluff raising scary turns. You have crushed the deck...and praying he has hit a draw, how is checking always so bad here?

bet ur hand against an unknown. ok thx

Re: NL200: monster out of position

i think it is, coz the c/r or c/c and shove c/shove river looks to strong and we want to get call on this spot.

Re: NL200: monster out of position

lots of draws came in on the turn. so i'd bet a hope he raises.

any line we take is gonna seen strong, except c/c I guess, but that feels too weak and we win the min against his strong hands w/that line, unless we c/r the river as well...but I really hate checking 2 street w/a monster against an unknown.

Re: NL200: monster out of position

I like betting and hoping he has hit a draw much more than checking and hoping he has hit a draw.

Didn't realize villian was unknown...need to sleep.

Re: NL200: monster out of position

If villain was Agg then I'd say check/shove. But we don't know that so if we check and villain checks we lose serious potential mulla.

Villain is either coming along for the ride or not so I'd say bet 1/2 pot and take it from there. 1/2 pot give villain opportunity to bluff.

Re: NL200: monster out of position

i like a really weak bet of like 22ish. i think it acommplishes a few things:
1) you get called by TX, KQ, and likely 8s8/9s9
2) you get raised by any flush, and 89
3) you give the illusion of fold equity so you may induce shoves from hands like AsT, KsQ etc

CS3, i like it.

Re: NL200: monster out of position

I would normally bet here against an unknown, prob around 1/2 - 3/5 pot, just enough to leave him thinking he has the right implied odds for trying to make his hand and if he is not drawing lets him think he has showdown value dependent on river because of weakish bet. TBH I am probably double barrelling that board 50% of the time even with air/outside draw because it looks so strong,

Against more aggressive players i c/c / c/r turn, then either lead river or check river to induce bluff depending on opponent.

I really like cs3's advice.

Re: NL200: monster out of position

low ball it to induce against an aggro type, 2/3 pot isn't bad either, but i want him to keep drawing tho

Re: NL200: monster out of position

I like 24 because I'll often bet/fold the same amount.

Re: NL200: monster out of position

bet $34 so you get more value out of 89/frushes
