$20\'s-HU-Villain pushing in dark-waiting for a better edge??

Put hand in as example of players I have been coming across lately. This guy has pushed 95% of the time, so he is basically pushing in the dark. Q8s has around 13% edge vs random hand. In these sutuations, can + ev plays be passed up, if so, where do u draw the line. 5%,2%,10% etc.

at BB of 160 I am roughly calling like: Q5+, K2+, A2+, 22+, JT

I don't really have much experience in this spot and am not running sngpt, but those are my intuitions.

When multitabling a lot, I would call anytime I have a +ev call really. If I bust, I can load a new one and don't really care about getting 2nd if I got my chips in good.

I think I found a leak for you man. R u serious your calling here with 20bbs with less than 50% of hands?

Without a solid read this is a fold. Even with a read it's not really ever a call. Wait for something better.

Re: $20\'s-HU-Villain pushing in dark-waiting for a better edge??

I don't think I ever get to HU at 80/160 to begin with. Also, it's rare that villain will overshove here for his stack w/ 95% of the time.

Those were my intuitive hand ranges for this particular situation where villain is shoving ATC near 100% of the time. Obviously I don't call off my chips with this range at this blind level vs normal opponents.

If a regular started doing it to me and I knew he was pushing ATC, I figure passing up +ev spots for larger +ev spots is kinda wasteful. Also, even though the blinds are significant, your stack gets worn away (not as significant with a bigger chip lead) until you pick up a primo hand...

I'll run it in sngpt now.

Here are the results: If SB is shoving ATC, BB should call w/ 22+,A2+,K2+,Q5o+,Q2s+,J8o+,J5s+,T8o+,T7s+,98s (50.5%). The range I advocated is pretty close to this, tho a little tighter. I have min edge at 0.2%.

If you can accurately pinpoint opponent's ranges, I will not pass up any +ev call.

Where's my leak now? Lol I am just joking, don't take that as an insult.
