I let my gf talk me into getting a Christmas tree in a pot one year. They weigh about a million lbs. And when you don't plant it, which you probably won't because you have to dig a crater the size of Texas, you're left with a dead, prickly pita to dispose of. You've been warned. Happy Holidays!

I am copy/pasting all of The Lounge Short Stories and reading them tomorrow. It is like reading the forums, so I won't miss it.

Great idea daveT. I hope more people do this. These stories are good and so very different. I've never really been into the short story format before but I have to say that this contest is inspiring me, mostly because of the different techniques that I'm seeing. Who knew there were so many ways to write a story!
