Just bought a home and am just starting to install things and am just beginning to learn about owning my own home. I'd like to post about things that have to do with home repairs get suggestions from you experienced guys on how to do things or the must have's for new home owners based upon posters past experiences.

I would like the ability to start a thread. I only start threads on the poker strat forums but I have an idea for a thread that I think would go well in EDF. You can give me the ability to start just one thread also if thats possible and then I will go back to being annonymous [img]/images/graemlins/blush.gif[/img])

I'd like to start my own "ask me about France/the French" thread. People could ask questions about the country, tourism, the french people, our culture and anything related. With all the Love/Hate going on between France and the U.S. I think it's got great potential.

That would be a great thread IMO. It looks like I'm heading to France for awhile at the end of the year. I speak little to no French. I hung out France for awhile many moons ago and at the time my lack of French proficiency was a problem at times. Would have been much worse if I hadn't been traveling with someone who spoke French. This trip came up suddenly and I was wondering what I should do to pick up as much French as I can in the next 6 weeks or so. Maybe could fit this in with your thread as I wanted to start one but may be more appropriate to put in your thread.

I was going to do the thread about my losing ~200 lbs, but I don't have thread-starting ability. You said to ask Daryn but from what I can tell he's ridden his horse into the heart of the sun.
