Small Stakes Hold \'em

Hi

Thinking of buying Small Stakes Hold 'em - Winning big with expert play ... is this book just for limit hold em or does it apply for no limit ?

Many Thanks

It is mainly for Limit, but in the introduction it does state "the advice is not limit-specific". Thick book packed with great advice and you WILL get an insight into how small stakes players, be it NL or L, play. Mines dog eared and I mainly play NL.

Doesn't that mean the advice is not just specific to small stakes fixed limit games but also too loose higher stakes games?

There isn't a scrap worth of NL advice in that book.

Think you should ask one of the B&M players who manage to earn $75 an hour playing 1/2 NL.

Harrington on Hold'em will give you a solid foundation, although it is about nl tournaments. IT mostly would apply to games where your stack is not too deep.

Maybe someone else can comment on Professional NLHE.

SSHE is a great book if you are at all interested at limit but as has been previously stating it has nothing to do with NL strategy, some of the overall concepts such as playing tighter than your too loose opponents and measuring your pot equity and pot/implied odds are explained pretty well which has to do with all forms of poker but as far as learning specific NL techniques this probably would not be the book for you
