Re: raising draws for value

when your draw is good you raise for value or folding equity.

You prolly need to be more specific to get better responses

I am afraid I was unspecific because I do not know what the term means. If it is just raising to fold out weak hands that have you beat then all is clear and thankyou!

It isnt. I suggest you pick up a basic poker book. Like Theory of poker or small stakes hold em

You have Ac Kc on a Qc Tc 4h flop. One guy has KQ one guy has T9, action goes bet, call, you should raise because you have over 50% equity and your fair share of the pot is 33%.

Plus in short handed games you often have some fold equity by raising with draws. Even if you don't get there you may snap off a bluff that you would have missed if you just checked and folded UI.
