Tablets

I use a Toshiba M200. It is by far the worst computer I have ever owned.

I want a new tablet but I'd like it to do have the same or higher resolution as the M200 (1400*1050).

The M400 is out. After the M200 turned out to be a major lemon I don't want another Toshiba product.

Any suggestions?

Re: Tablets

In 3 years it has gone in for service 4 times.

The first authorized repair outlet was incompetent so the first service trip took a month and taking the computer in 3 times.

The last repair was the HD died. The service outlet replaced my HD but gave me back a machine with no o/s. They couldn't install it since they didn't have a Toshiba USB optical drive (despite being a Toshiba authorized repair centre). Odd that as a customer I was expected to go out and buy a drive that their own repair centre didn't feel was worth owning.

The computer has run very hot since day one. Even now it is hotter then I'd expect and slower then I'd expect.

Re: Tablets

the Pentium M processo is a few generations old now. I have one in my work laptop and it is getting quite challenged in the last six months as we add security software and updates.

Have you done a google search for tablet reviews?

What feature of the tablet do you need over a regular laptop?

Re: Tablets

I found a site that has reviews. Started reading them. Problem is the resolution. I like the Toshiba because of the resolution. So far can't find any with 1400*1050.

Don't need the tablet features but I play poker from bars and a tablet works best. Less of a barrier should someone come sit with me (flat vs L shaped) and no keyboard for booze to fall into
