Yeah, I could just see you at the Rio..."oh no! There's Mark Vos, gotta hide, gotta hide!!"

For your sake I hope you dont get seated at the same table as Mark ever. Could be another Vinny Vihn type scenario.

Re: Mark Vos

Way back in the day, I think just after Hachem won the WSOP, I couldn't sleep and played live 200nl with Mister Vos when he had probably a 6 figure roll and I was just on the road in what would turn out to be a ridiculously slack and luckily profitable hobby/job. Emad and Arul also joined having finished up playing (what was then) nosebleed plo where they'd complain of beats totally more than my entire networth.

It was pretty comfortably the greatest live 200nl game ever. Vos would open raise to $150 and get in all in with 22 unimproved on the turn and get called by some donk's unimproved ATo. Random shoves and Vos giggling like a maniac and then calling with 4d2d and suchlike and then ALWAYS WINNING.

The end in this game came when Mark got in effectively 2k w K6 vs KK on monotone K62, I think I ended up calling $80 preflop with 62s in that hand just cos everyone was 1.5k+ deep in a 200nl game. It was pretty sick to see 4k in mostly redbirds being stacked up neatly at the time when my roll was like 6k. I think I won like 1k that night.

He also talked some drunken random crap about equity which would lead to one of those AHA!!OMG!!! poker moments.

Based on just that episode, I personally think Vos is pretty awesome.
