low trips on the river

From memory. Villian was unimpressive in the few hands I played with him. Was seeing about 70% of the flops, so obviously playing some trashy hands.

25c/50c NL

Hero ($55.0)
Villian ($30)

Im in BB with A5o

UTG Limps, MP Limps, Button folds, SB completes, Hero Checks.

Pot $2
Flop Q J 5 (rainbow)

Checked through

Turn 6

Checked through (Didn't want to bet bottom pair here oop into two more players)

River 5 (no flush possible)

SB bets $1, Hero Raises to $4, Fold, Fold, SB raises to $9.

Hero cant decide the chances of being up against a worse kicker vs up against a full house. I want to just call here but I thinking at this limit, alot of donkeys would think of any 5 as the nuts here.

opinions on % of the time the ace kicker wins the pot in this type of hand?

Easy call. You'd have heard from a set here before this. Even if Villain was slowplaying, he'd have bet on the turn, rather than risk yet another set going through without a bet.

IMO a fold is out of the question. I'm asking who here thinks this is worthy of a raise.

I probably wouldn't raise. While it's pretty unlikely you're up against the boat, it's always possible. And villain will probably NOT call a fourth raise unless he's got the boat. He may be dumb, but he'll figure out you've got an Ace, eventually.

But, if you ARE going to raise, push heh.

Would villain have checked with two pair or set on the flop and turn waiting for you to bet into him?

Raise if you are prepared to call the vast majority of the responses Villain makes.

It is possible he has a 5 with a worse kicker and believe it to be the winner and play it hard as a result.

Villian is likely to call your raise with a wide variety of Queen or even Jack hands out of curiousity.

The simple maths gives you a hand which wins an overwhelming amount of time in this situation.

Raise. SB surely has worse trips. Also since SB is short even in the rare case he has a house you're not paying too much.

I dont think anyones going to fold a 5 for another $5 with the pot this size.

I agree. All you can eat.

I pushed, he thought then folded.

Push I think was a bad play, he would of had to call another $5-$7 but I made a bet that was hard for a lot of hands I beat to call.

Anyways, I thought I would be up against a worse 5 more often then a full house and just wanted to check with you guys. Next time I put more thought into my raise size.
