AA in SB Question.

Live $1,$2 NL $200 max buy in.

Hero is SB with $350, and has Ad As

Villian is MP 2 with $400, hasn’t played many pots in last 20 minutes.

2 limps to Villian, Villian limps, two more limps. Standard for table.

Hero raises to $15, $15-$30 has been a standard raise for the table.

Villian calls, everyone else folds. $40 pot.

Flop 8c, 5c, 10h

Hero bets $40, Villain calls.

Turn Ah

Hero bets $85 Villain calls

Turn 2h

Hero bets $100 Villain pushes.

What's my play here.

ummm, call????

Would Villian call the the flop bet with 3 to the flush??

That's donkey play even for a ring game isn't it?

instacall, unless you have an supersupersupersupergood read on villain.

i'd maybe bet a little bit more on turn & river. maybe 90 on turn and 120 - 150 on river.

but no way i can see myself folding here!

Re: AA in SB Question.

(edit, the flop was actually 84c, there was no straight draw, I just confused the card in his hand with the flop card when first posting.)

Thanks everyone, this hand has been bothering me. It seemed an obvious call, as I would think only 84h or J9h could beat me, and as played I really expected to see 88 or KK in his hand.

I called and he had 85h and won with the flush.

I just wanted to see if better players saw something I may have overlooked.

Re: AA in SB Question.

So you had him on the turn for a quick second before he hit a backdoor flush...just a bad beat, nothing more, nothing less...him calling preflop was a very loose move, he lucked out and flopped two pair, nothing you can do about that...
