will a strip dealer set hands for someone in pai gow poker?

looking for a slow game that a total non-gambler can play and just get hammered, i can set my own hands, but will be with a lady friend that wants to play, yet not do any thinking of her own. can she just ask the dealer to set her hand every time for her?

They will never ever ever care.

They'll always set the hand if you ask but remember they set it the 'house way' which is fine by me but some people like to deviate. Placing a bet for the dealer every now and then is a good way to thank them for the service even though it's their job.

Some hands are so obvious than even a massively drunk girlfriend could probably do it, but the dealer won't care. They can probably set them twice as fast as it would take to wait for you. I'd give them a tip now and then, but that is up to you.

Usually, I set the hands for my girl if there is any question. It makes her have to lean into me and I get something out of it too.

Just say 3 words:

House Way Please

In pai gow it is mathematically correct to play the houseway unless you are banking and somehow have knowledge of some of the other player's holdings at the table. That's a little mroe advanced than I'll go right now though.

I've played pai gow in town with friends and we were drinking so much that we'd just ask the dealer to set the hands house way while we ordered or took a sip on a drink just so we didn't mess anything up, lol.

I have seen a couple variations in houseway from casino to casino (it was a long time ago, I had the sheets in front of me with the house ways on it to compare). Part of the houseway is making it easy for the dealers to remember.
