its hard to mess up 2overs + fd ... unless

What range of hands does UTG have? If he has 99-JJ or a set, we are not making money on this hand??

dont raise so much. i make it 38 there so he can call. with such a big raise, you're making his calling range tighter. also, people might be thinking "he raised big, he wants a fold" and shove some [censored].

im happy getting it in here, but 52 is too big for me.

fwiw, $52 is pot and I'm not happy playing a fd, oop on the turn when I brick.

Looks fine although you're not really getting the right odds to call purely for the flush draw.

You can also b/3b.

i agree, 52 is just too big on the flop. sure, we'll go to the felt but lets not force the issue if possible. i also like b/3b better than CR

b/3b-shove would be a better way to manage your equity here imo.

If everyone thinks his raise is too big, then how would a b/3b line allow for all the money to go in on flop? Say he donks for $12 and his opponent raises to the 'recommended' $38 or what have you. Now he jams for ~$150?

I think your line is fine and reaction would be different if you hit a Q/A/diamond somewhere in the hand. A good spot too gamble.

A b/3b is perfectly fine as well. I just don't agree with all who rag on a c/r here with these stacks. Getting the money in on this flop is fine no matter how it goes in. And personally, with you choosing the c/r line, I like your bet sizing WAY more then a smaller bet.

i think b3b is way better given the stacks and current pot. i'd rather be making the final big bet.

c/r'ing 38 or 52 leaves awkward remaining stacks, if villain pushes we dont have the odds to call.

b/3b'ing leaves us fully committed with v.good odds to call AND i think we have a lot of fold equity here.

b/3b'ing is majorly +ev here.
