Crucial bubble spot ponder(16\'s PS)

Ok this is a spot I end up in occasionally...the hand is hypothetical but based on true events.

Blinds(300/600)Hero is in SB

CO - 3800
Button - 5800
SB - 2300
BB - 1600

UTG folds, CO folds, Hero has 2000, CO has 1000...900 in pot

Hero has marginal hand, somthing like 7s, 5s... action?

When I come across a situation like this I hesitant and tend to go off how good/bad I've been running. Given BB will have good pot odds to call, should we push with our hand???

If BB calls 100% of his hands, it's neutral EV.

He's not doing that.

So you have to push.

If he had one of those hands he would have folded, think how much folding is a disaster. You have to apply the pressure here, IMO.

Re: Crucial bubble spot ponder(16\'s PS)

Let's play the folding war game.

After this hand:

Opponent 1 - 3800
Opponent 2 - 5800
Hero ------- 2000
Next guy --- 1900

After Next hand :

Opponent 1 - 4100
Opponent 2 - 5800
Hero ------- 2000
Next guy --- 1600

After Your BB

Opponent 1 - 4100
Opponent 2 - 6400
Hero ------- 1400
Next guy --- 1600

(Stop me any time you think this is good value)

After your next SB:

Opponent 1 - 4100
Opponent 2 - 6400
Hero ------- 1100
Next guy --- 1900

Okay, I'm not going to insult your intelligence by continuing.
Basically, he has all the factors in his favour here if you start folding.
His chips are worth more to you than anyone else at the table (because if you get them, you get in the money) so you have to try to take them. If he calls, then so be it, your hand doesn't have to lose if it's behind, in fact it doesn't have to be behind.

All that happens if you start folding here is that you end up clashing when you both have lower equity later on. If he folds, you're in a great position.
