In reality gold chips mean very little and gold cards mean almost nothing.

There are some decent freerolls you can enter with gold chips and specific gold cards. Click on the tourney tab and then the gold chip picture for the current list of upcoming tourneys.

Yes you will have rakeback then! When you later make a
( real) first deposit you will still be eligible for the first deposit bonus. That was my experience at redstar and I guess at original-cake its the same.
