$10 sng, KK in bb -- stragegy?

This is my first post in this forum, so sorry if I do something wrong.

Blinds are 50/100.

I have ~1600 chips in the bb with KK.

UTG raises to 350 (stack ~3500)

Folds around to me.

UTG has been fairly aggressive but won his chips legitimately. I know I must push. If I push, I think he will call with a decent pair or a big A.

However, is there any use in just calling and pushing the flop, regardless, since I plan to get it in anyway? Might UTG fold if he doesn't hit?

If he calls my push, he knows he gets to see five cards, but if I just call and then push the flop, he has to think about it for another 1250 chips. Can this work? Is it a good idea or is it wiser just to get it in with KK now?

just push...it makes life so much easier..
some one said you will either lose a large pot or win a small one by smooth calling...true words

Get it in now, why would you ever want him to fold the flop anyways?

Get it in now. You want full value for your hand. If he has something that you crush like AK, QQ, JJ, TT, he might call your push pre-flop but fold to your flop push (depending on the board).

Better to get it now. Why let him/her see a flop? Push while you're ahead. If villain has AX make him pay for the draw.

shove. its so gross to stick in 20% of your stack, at this stage, on a trap and see an ace flop. Also, letting him get away from hands like AJ or TT that he'd gladly double you up with but can fold on a good number of flops is just as bad.

OK, you guys are obviously correct. I'm being results oriented. It happens so often, though, in similar situations that this has crossed my mind many times before. Wondered if anyone else thought about it.

I did push, he called with AJ, and, of course, an A hit on the turn.

I guess I'll just keep playing correctly

I think you played it correctly. Once the chips were in the pot it was up to the poker gods.
