Putter lenght

Ok i almost just started flooding the Golf forum here.

My current situation:

I have a putter i actually like, its woman lenght (34") and i am considering cutting 2 inches off, cause i believe i have a better pendular swing with a shorter putter.

I have tried to grab it down the shaft a bit and feel it fits better, but grabbbing down give a wrong weithg distribution obv.

Im normal height 1m 80cm (like 5,12 US i think) so thats not the issue, but would like to hear if anyone has some experience in this area, and if i might make a mistake (since it cannot be reversed besides bying a new and different putter if im wrong)

For several years the putting have been my problem.
Not the feel, but cant hole anything within 10-20 feet compared as what im supposed to be able to.

Whatever feels good, imo.
If you cut it too short you could always put a new shaft in it for little cost.

Yeah that is my thought too, however i have not been able to try one in that lenght since its in between woman and children putter LOL.

And i have an old putter so i need to look for a different one if i regret.

However i have been thinking about this for 2 years without being able to improve my putting (averaging like 35-40 puts) absolutely pathetic for a 4,7 player.

Have had a PGA pro to look at my putting stroke but its not my stroke but my allignement thats the problem, whic means i need to get a different "look" on things and i think this might be the way to go as i believe its the most natural thing for me.

Thank you for the answer, more suggestions are welcome, as this is the thing i feel most important for me to improve.

I apollogize for my incorrect english, i speak better than i write, as if it matters :-)

Get some training aids? Pelz has some nice fancy ones, and some lower tech ones too.

If you cut it down 2", it will feel extremely light. You'll need lots of lead tape, and probably will need to bend it upright a few degrees.
