Re: 25NL - AA vs Set?

Call because there are draws out there and he could also have an overpair .

I think you'll see draws / combo draws here enough times to make this call. The re-draw to the nut flush is nice if a diamond hits on the turn.

call.

Low limit players love to minraise or slowplay their sets. I think he doesnt have a set enough of the time to make this a fold. Call and dodge his outs.

There are only 4 cases I can think of when you can fold AA:

1) Multiway pot with lots of action and several people going all in;
2) Someone pushing on a scary monotone coordinated flop, ie Jh9h8h;
3) A 7/5/0.1 type of guy raising;
4) Not liking money.

I folded this hand but later thought that I should have called.

So the difference between my hand and this one?

linky

50NL?

Board wetter?

The difference is there is no flush draw in the other hand.. you have a smaller overpair and don't have a backdoor flush draw. The guy could easily have TJ here with or without diamonds. Most of the time when I see people take this line it's a draw and when they check raise, it's a set.

Actually, I don't think this is a bad fold. Villain has more than 100bbs, making it less likely that he is a total fish. You raised from UTG representing strength and yet he leads and then shoves not fearing your hand. You also have the A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] making it less likely he has a flush draw.

Generally, most players at this level play their draws passively. I'd say this is a set or two pair more often than not. I personally just don't like going broke here, without a read, when villain is representing such huge strength.

What hands u are ahead that villains dont 3Bet PF ?!

I think villain 3Bets JJ+,AK here... maybe TT.

99- he just calls.

I think he got the set.

Re: 25NL - AA vs Set?

I consider two things when making this call. First, how coordinated is the board? On the above board, you see several different OESDs and flushdraws. Not bad. On the linked example, there is only one OESD hand (45) and nothing else.

Second, how does this opponet play his draws? Some people call down, some people like to check the nuts, some people play their draws more aggressively than a made hand, etc. If this guy is aggressive in general, I call all day long. If he is passive, I fold.
