importance: general aggression vs selective moves
What do you think is more important to be a winning player? Get your ranges balanced vs the individual opponent correctly or to make specific sophisticated moves depending on the board texture?

Re: importance: general aggression vs selective moves
fwiw, i think aggression adjustment in more important. both can involve a degree of luck/variance, in that you can think someone is playing back at you but he may of picked up 3 premiums out of 5 hands, likewise with the 'correct spot'.
my trouble is when on a table i am trying to run over the table but i just keep missing. i will often still fire but they keep hitting a pair as well. it becomes pretty costly pretty fast. part of me wants to slow down, but then part of me thinks well i should keep on hammering away, but it does get you wondering at the table whether there is some reason for this happening, or whether the cards+flops are simply falling very badly for you over the 50 or so hands at the table so far. |
