By people who are lost preflop, yes, this is actually common. My guess is at the level you are at (buy in?) that it's not as common though.

I fold pre as well, but I'm interested in likely ranges for villian here. Such a massive overbet seems like some scared overs that just want the pot but it could be mid pairs like 66,88,99 trying to "shut you out" as well I guess.

UTG+1 is very loose.

This is the Pstars 150. I have only played it a handful of times. I am curious about this because this huge overbet recurred many times in this tournament.

16.5bb stacks, oop, i'm pretty sure this is bad, unless you're planning on and are able to (not vs calling station) bluff him off of a bunch of boards that you don't hit.
