I actually had to look up his stats to gauge the relevance of this. Apparently not very relevant. I knew he was with the Mavericks but apparently they can find a way to part with his four points and three rebounds per game.

EDIT: doesn't this make him a whiter, slower, less relevant version of Pietrus?

BTW if Matt Barnes walked towards me in a dark alley I would probably just drop my wallet and keys and run the other way. That's not a racist comment because I have no idea what race he is. Dude just scares me.

Barnes agent(s) either blow really bad, or GMs have smartened up about giving stupid deals to guys coming off a good playoffs, like Austin Croshere, for example.

agg i knew it when i did it. tks for the lesson.

edit: bonus croshere memory

i saw him go baseline and throw down two handed on some other schlub eight or nine years ago when he was still with the pacers. i had just turned 15 or whatever and was newly able to dunk jumping off my left foot. i couldn't go off two feet though, and croshere's dunk inspired me to work on that. dunno why that dunk in particular did it. so i'm kind of partial to the guy.
