25 NL - LP check-raised my AA.

I whiffed big time on this one. Villain (button) is 34.6/0/1 through 30 hands (not a very large sample which makes me feel worse about this hand looking back at it.)

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) Poker Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Button ($44.55)
SB ($62)
BB ($10.35)
UTG ($31.45)
MP ($24.10)
Hero ($29.10)

Preflop: Hero is CO with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
2 folds, Hero raises to $1.25, Button calls $1.25, SB calls $1.15, BB calls $1.

Flop: ($5) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $4, Button raises to $8, SB folds, BB folds, Hero...

What should you do here? If you call, what do you do if a blank falls?

I can't edit my post apparently, but I realize that it wasn't a check-raise as my title suggests. Oops.

Anyway, call flop & check-raise turn, shove flop, or fold flop?

I 3bet/call shove, villain has Qx or a PP here a lot

I think 3-bet the flop is standard. Lots of queens and flush draws raise this flop... not necessarily an 8.

Re: 25 NL - LP check-raised my AA.

I'm happy to get my money in here almost every time. Given pf action, board & stats, I can't see QQ/88 here very often at all. Worse two pair combos have to be much more likely than hands that have you beat.

I don't really know if is better to shove here or call and CRAI on turn; keeping in mind that shove pretty much = PSR.

I'd be much more concerned by a Q than another club on this turn.

His AF is pretty low but considering his VPIP he's probably not completely passive.

... Interested to see how other people play this one.
