NL25: 3-bet cold-called by 2p2er. What to do on turn with TPTK?

Villian in this hand is a 2p2er, and I think he is generally considered to be a pretty good player. I have him running at 14/11/1.5 after about 200 hands. I found this hand very confusing as cold-calling a 3-bet pre-flop is not something you see a good player do everyday.

When I got to the turn, I really wasn't sure what to do. After I checked, his 1/3 pot bet really confused me. How would you respond to this? Also, does anyone like a turn lead, and if so how much?

he's got 5's fold

usually when someone cold calls there they have a pocket pair.. if he has a suited connector he missed the flop unless it's JT.. and hearts to bet the turn.

call him down. Usually when a decent player takes this line preflop its jj/qq. And to be honest that looks a lot like the case queen on the flop.

Its call down or fold now. And folding now kind of sucks with his bet size. Do not raise or bet.

Against a decent player... I would think we now exercise pot control, no? We're either way behind or way ahead.

That turn bet is odd size. But he may be probing.

Thing is... if you have an overpair, you're not checking 2 streets, are you?

I feel like I have to call and call a reasonable river bet (or perhaps block it?)

no folding. When you check the turn you DEFINITELY have to call

If he is a good player he shouldn't have 5's or 9s as well really. I don't really know where we are but while he keeps the betting small I probably call down.

Call turn.

2p2 doesnt mean good tbh.

Looks to me to be a set. Maybe 5's or 9's. With Straight and flush draws unlikely he might be wanting to get some value from his set.

Not sure if you missed this or if you didn't understand it. It means that I have seen a number of people comment that he is a pretty solid player.

idk who this is but i'm pretty sure we're ahead of their range (99-QQ,AQ+ but it varies obv). call down looks good, shoving also good.
