Pizzaman Procedure.
 

ok, so this may be lame, but im curious what OOT thinks here. my gf's parents ordered pizza the other night with us there and instead of handing the money to the guy and exchanging the pizza at the threshold, they invited the guy in and had him set the pizza on the counter. i personally found this to be quite awkward; it was something i have never seen before. what is your standard procedure?

I delivered for two years while I was in college. We preferred...no....we REALLY preferred to do the exchange at the door.

The only exception might be for a really hot chick that asks you to come in.

Many years ago I spent a few months delivering pizza. While the huge majority pay at the door, a significant number ask the delivery person in and have him put the pizzas on the table.

As a delivery guy, I didn't mind at all when they asked me in and did not find it akward. Those who did were rarely sketchy.

I used to do deliveries and found it a little awkward. usually they are just being nice though, so I didn't really mind that much.

when it's raining, snowing, or very cold you should invite them in. otherwise, make the exchange as quick as possible at the door.
