dont like the river donk if you are planning on folding to a raise

You think she is calling with a worse hand that wouldnt bet?

BTW. I am not sure about flop+turn. You dont think she is checking behind lower pp's with a spade on the turn?

In my games I'd always c/r the flop or donk the turn as I expect villain to check behind quite a lot making a turn c/r spewish.

But I dont play the FT 30/60 so to be honest I dont know what to expect here.

I dislike river bet but I'm ok with the fold.

What are you trying to accomplish with your turn/river line? There are certainly some spots to thwart someone checking behind river but this is one spot where opponent is going to continue a spazzy bluff or value bet his ace, his flush, boat etc. Just check river, cry and call.

Say you had led the turn (which I'd do more often than check) and opponent raised and you call, then I'd give consideration to donking the river again and calling a raise.

Mike L and I talked about this sort of thing over the weekend where you are planning to b/f the river and then you b/f and you realize that the reason you b/f is because you thought there was a very realistic chance your hand wasn't good which means you probably shouldn't have bet.

I do this fairly often and then go through the above thought process. I'm thinking one day I will learn that I should probably stop betting in these spots.

i know what you are saying but, what is the option? should you c/f, i do think that there are some hands that you are ahead of that might get three bet on the turn and then take a freeshowndown, but these hands will also call the river bet. so my thinking was thatonce i [censored] up the hand totally, i would be the river and not let KQ with a spade or JJ or whatever check, and i would fold if i got raised. so i thought that was the best way to put in 1 bet, are you saying there is a better way or that you should put in 0 bets?

bascailly, now looking at the hand, the post title is suspect river play but that is the only part i like, i think i like a flop cr, or the turn donk you suggest a lot more.

I think the turn is a pretty clear time for a bet. It would look kinda fishy from your opponents perspective so you'll get called by anything, and there are some spade hands that she could be free carding if you were to check.

Your line is pretty weird, the river fold might be correct but i just think it's bad how you got there.
