50NL - Overpair on a scary river

Ive played like 15 hands with villain, he hasnt done anything spectacular. Seems very passive, but mayb not a complete retard.

I cant decide whether or not to bet this river. All of his 2nd pair/straight draw hands have be beat now with 2pair or the straight, but i feel like AT KT QT JT 9T JJ 99 are all a big part of his range. Is this a bet or check?

two opposite decisions, can anyone elaborate as to why they would shove or check?

W/o any info on villain, Im not sure I completely agree with your range PF here but its close. He doesn't have much behind, I think I would just value shove. He will call any ten, JJ, maybe even 99 if he doesnt believe you.

Its really close though

Really weird situation. Your PF raise was perfect and I think you can put his range on AA-KK-JJ-TT (AKs, Ax's would have folded the flop)if he's passive as you say. Now we are basically wondering if we can value bet him if he has exactly JJ and basically nothing else (highly doubt a passive player calls pf raise with 99-88). He's certainly playing it like he does have JJ but then again he might be checking for pot control with KK-AA.

I'm really on the fence with this one and that is why I would probably just check this down, note his hand, and adjust accordingly to a similar situation against villain. A river value bet is thin against unknown imo.

I value shove this. That river isn't really that scary, because there's not really many hands that he should be calling preflop/flop/turn with that contain an 8 or a 3, and the flush was backdoor so it's not really a concern. I think that in BVB with he'll call with Tx/JJ enough to make this profitable.

It's a blind battle, you have an overpair, he has less than half the pot left, you want his money and he's shown no agression. He hardly ever shows up with a flush/straight here. You're up against a JJ/AT type of hand here the majority of the time. Sometimes villain thinks they're being clever with AA/TT I guess but there's value to be had here for certain. Bet it.

Do you really think villain is going to call off the rest of his stack with something you beat? They usually have the ability to fold top pair on dangerous boards.

He's getting over 3:1, and just as you shouldn't expect his range has many 8s or 3s in it, he shouldn't think yours does either. Plus, people generally call down lighter in BVB. I admit that this is thin, but I think it's +EV.
