repost: bad player wants me to stake him
 

apparently I posted this in the wrong forumn... here it is again:

A pretty bad player who is friends with my roommate wants me to stake him with the following deal, I pay 100% of his buy-ins and he gives me 90% of his return.

He lives close and is a little b**** so not paying me isn't a concern.

My qustion is, how bad of a player does he need to be to make this a -ev deal? He thinks he is good but really is pretty bad... but he is fairly aggressive at least. His OPR is like 30%, his ITM is like 12%.

Should I take him up on this?

sounds like the kid just wants to play for free and [censored] around... I wouldnt stake anyone that is -EV. 90% of 0 is 0

Also, I dont think he can really be all that confident in his game if hes willing to give you 90% of return.

Even if you make this deal, with you getting 90% he'll get bored out of his mind in a week because he'll realize he's playing for nothing. And with an OPR like that he won't win [censored] anyway. I'm 97% and I blow goats (PM me for a demo).

lol if he is bad its -ev even if you get 100% of his cash, maybe even if you had 120% it would be -ev.

I agree with the Tarp. I can't see this ending well unless he improves, and if he's got an ego about his game, i like it even less.

I think the OPR 30% was his OPR % and not his ROI. I could be wrong though
