Best place to live/play for a year?

Alright so i'm 21 6 figs in the bank from online poker but i'm looking to travel so i figured why not go to a poker hotspot for a year and grind it out live/online?

There's a few requirements though. First off, i want to play somewhere tax free, so USA is automatically off. I wouldn't wanna play there anywys, seeing how their dollar is going down the crapper and they're on the verge of a great economic depression (plz don't hijack thread). Secondly, obviously gotta be a nice place. I don't wanna be getting shanked in any parking lots. Third, gotta have a nice youth population. Nothing extreme, but as long as there's a university or something nearby. Fourth, obviously gotta have good poker games. I play mostly 3-6, 5-10 NL.

Cliffs: Wanna live somewhere for a year for live poker need
1. Tax free winnings
2. Great/Safe location
3. Not full of old people
4. Fish + Game selection for 5-10

Come live/play in Perth mate. We only have 1 casino (Burswood) but the 5/5 NL is very loose.

If you are a US citizen, your income is still taxable no matter where in the world you are earning it.

I imagine this guy is not a US citizen as he lives in Canada.

However, I can't imagine being worried about paying taxes on your winnings in cash games in a US casino. They do not withhold money or make you fill out a form when you cash out at a cage. I'm not sure if gambling winnings in the US would be taxable for foreign citizens anyway, but even if they are, you could certainly get around it.

He's got other reasons for not wanting to do this in the U.S. and I can't say I disagree. Additionally, if he has a successful year, he'll have to convert lots of dollars to loonies. That may alert somebody to start asking questions.

Go to Tijuana Mexico, play soccer and drink Tequila with Jose during weekdays then cross border during weekends and play at Sycuan, Barona or Pechanga, good times.

You forget he's from BC. Their hookers take a back seat to no one.
