$200 Live MTT KK Somewhat ugly flop...

2nd round, 50-100. I have been active, and leading at a lot of flops. I have 3000 or so barely covering CO. Button has less.

Hero has red KK UTG and raises to 275.
CO calls
Button calls.
Blinds fold.

Flop: 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

I think the CO is pretty solid and the button somewhat tricky. I am confident neither one has QQ, but sets and draws are in their range obv.

Lead the flop or go for CR ???

Theres already nearly 1k in the pot, bet like 700 and call a shove and any other play is pretty bad.

don't think you are getting away from this so we need to concentrate on getting chips in for value...you've been leading many flops so this should be no different...c bet 750ish and call push...if they flat call you need to be prepared to go to the mat with any non A turn...

I believe you do this, so you can get paid in these situations. c/r will let a queen off cheap.

I lead big enough to make diamond diamond call incorrectly if they call. 975 in the pot, I probably pot it.

This is a perfect flop for you.

No immediate flushes or straights... all undercards.
Problem is you are OOP... there are quite a few scare cards out there (for you and your opponents)

There are basically two groups you are trying to balance:
(1) making the most from worse hands (AQ, KQ, QJ, JJ possibly)
(2) giving draws (flush/straight) incorrect odds to call

If stacks were deeper I think you'd have some options here. Since you only have 3000 with already 975 in the pot and are OOP I think the correct answer is push.

I don't think pot control is feasible given the stack sizes... any betting will essentially commit you and any diamond on the turn or river is going to kill the action from hands you absolutely destroy.

Push now and you get called by AQ, KQ maybe QJ. It's also highly likely any flush draw will also call you, which is great.

By pushing I think you're maximizing your value from opponents with the above range of hands. The only value you are sacrificing with this move is from possible bluffers on the flop... or by some guy with pocket 8's that will fold with your 2nd barrel anyways... but I don't think that sacrifice is enough to justify any other move than push here.

pushing is not terrible I think we sacrifice a lot of value...if the hero has been aggressive post flop a standard raise by him may get reraised by any Q...this is best case...why push and scare off QK?

ok, everyone likes to lead. seems correct.

I checked. CO makes it 1000, button folds.

I CRAI, CO calls and shows A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
