Bet the flop. $1 seems right.

As played I bet $1 on the turn. With a bet like .7 you are giving him odds to outdraw draw you.

Reads are helpful for the river. $.4 is a really weak bet and you are inviting an aggressive donk to check raise bluff you here, but I'd probably fold this raise to an unknown.

Bet the flop, and bigger bet on turn, see where you're at then.

Also the river bet as played it just way too small, either check it or make a decent sized bet. Only way it makes sense to bet that small would be if you had a monster and was up against a very aggresive player.
