Need help picking a college roommate (long)

Roommate possibility #1:
+Will pay $800/month
+Will be leasing from June 1 - Jan 31 (8 month lease)
+Should be graduating after Fall semester
+Small chance he may renew lease and stay for Spring semester (until end of May)
+Says he would find me a roommate for Spring semester (but he has some weird friends)
+Has lots of money
-Has extreme case of ADD
-Sometimes gets on my nerves
-His room is always messy
-His current roommates tell me he never cleans
-Like him less than Roommate possibility #2

Rooommate possibility #2:
+Will pay $725/month
+Will be leasing from End of August - End of May (9 month lease)
+Possibility he may renew lease and stay during Summer 08
+Good friend of 5 years; Get along great
+His GF is the president of a female organization (will have lots of females over!)
-Tight on money, but will still pay the rent/bills

If I go with Roommate #1, I'll have a roommate for Summer/Fall/Winter, but then I'll have to find a new roommate for Spring.

If I go with Roommate #2, I'll have a roommate for Fall/Winter/Spring, but I'll have to find a new roommate for Summer. If Roommate #2 could move in with me for the summer immediately, I would have picked him immediately.

Thanks in advanced!

um, #2 seems like an easy answer, but then again $75 plus 2 month 3 months alone isn't a big deal to me...at least not as big as staying with someone I like

Pick whoever you'd get along with best so you don't end up wishing you could pay the other guy to move out early.

Good point, I guess the reason why I'm even considering roommate #1 is because he is offering to pay more and is willing to move in immediately.

Right. Unless you're in a cash crunch and actually really need the extra money, it'll be worth less to get along with your roommate. Otherwise you start avoiding your own house, are annoyed or pissed every time you're home, get a lathe in your living room, whatever. Not worth it.

Definitely Roommate 2.

To make up for the extra $75 a month you will be missing out on do the following:

1)Post the city you live in and say you are having a bunch of hot female friends over.
2)Have pathetic 2+2 posters PM you if they want to come
3)????
4)Profit
