First Book To Read
 

I looked through the threads using the search and I couldn't find this so I apologize if a similar question has already been answered.

I have very limited knowledge on investing.
What is the best investing book to read first?

I'd say rich dad poor dad THEN your a good book on whatever topic you are most interested in. Investing is a broad term, so be more specific. Real Estate? Stocks/Bonds? Day trading? ETC.

'A Random Walk Down Wall Street' was an assigned book for my undergrad investments class in 1983, and I still see it mentioned here a lot, so I would think it should be high on your list.

Don't really think this is a good first book to read, but definitely after a few others a read this is probably #1 on the list.

i don't know but something very elementary ... do they make an "investing for dummies" type book that would give you some background into theory and application without including lots of math?

if so, read that first. just so you know the basics of why do anything, how capitalism rewards investors & why, etc.

Investing for Dummies and the complete idiot's guide to investing might be good options as they are both broad and introductory. The "Dummies" books are actually very good from what I've seen. Another option is to read something that may better spark your interest like Rich Dad Poor Dad or When Genius Failed or something. The Inteligent Investor is a must read, but as was said before, maybe not as a first book.
