PL $1/2 - NFD and an overpair

UTG is aggressive: 37/14/2 over a small sample of 100 hands.

SB is LAGy who would stab at pots if shown weakness - not spewy though.

I am relatively new to Omaha.

Full Tilt Poker - Pot Limit Omaha Cash Game - $1/$2 Blinds - 5 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

SB: $287.35
BB: $297.05
UTG: $551.95
Hero (CO): $207.25
BTN: $197.00

Preflop: Hero is dealt A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (5 Players)
UTG calls $2.00, Hero raises to $9.00, BTN folds, SB calls $8.00, BB folds, UTG raises to $38.00, Hero calls $29.00, SB calls $29.00

Flop: ($116) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 Players)
SB checks, UTG bets $116.00

What do you think of preflop? With zero FE on the flop, what is the correct play between a shove or fold? On the flop, my hand is a flip vs naked AAxx but not sure how my equity is affected by the third player behind.

Thanks.

Re: PL $1/2 - NFD and an overpair

Your shouldn't be worrying about the SB in this spot. If you push and they both call, awesome, you are getting it in with a solid overlay the vast majority of the time. If you push and only the UTG player calls any equity you need is made up by the dead money in the pot. You also have a pair other than your QQ so if he does actually have aces you probably have one additional out, plus the backdoor straight draw. In short, never fold, just calling doesn't accomplish anything unless the SB will fold a marginal draw for $170 that he would've called for $116 (not likely).

Preflop is fine, especially if the SB is likely to call behind.

Im okay with preflop play but thats in the mindset of a very LAGy player. Post-flop I think that a call is pretty standard.
