HU 30/60 vs NMcNasty: Made Hand Turned Into a Bluff

I'm trying to learn the ways of HU limit. NMcNasty is a tough, very good player that I'm definitely a dog against. We've been playing very aggro but he's definitely been running me over to some extent.

Obviously my hand has some showdown value so if he'll never fold better I should call but I figured just in case he was making a thin value bet with two pair and could find a fold I might as well throw in the extra bet to take the pot.

Or does anybody fold on this river?

Comments on all streets appreciated.

umm

i think it probably goes fold>>>>>call>>raise...

raising seems pretty bad

You're turn call gave you up. Just call this river at best.

I'd just fold. Trying to blugg people off a made hand in big pots in HULHE generally does not lead to wealth.

i see what you are trying to do, however it won't work. If you look at it from his perspective, would you ever bet this river with the intention of folding to a raise?

i think the 3 clubs will induce a call more often than a dry board will, hes never calling when you're ahead so theres really no value here accept for straight up steals and i think this only works when: A. he doesnt have it. and B. if he feels he can make a big fold

im assuming it (folding) is not gonna happen more often than not, considering you have been playing rather aggressively thus far

way the wrong forum. you were lucky to get as many good SH online players responding here as you did.

oh and imo you are more likely to get a call from jx8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] than a fold from J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]9x. The T or 5 are better bluff cards anyhow (not that it'll work there either).

Pretty rare to see someone put in that much action and then fold any hand they bet on the river.

I don't like the river raise. Too many things beat you now and none of them are folding. All you beat is a pair of sevens. A straight, a flush, and a nine (or five) are all calling. I call.
