2\\5 Live game AA facing min-raise

Effective stack sizes around $800

Villain has been fairly tight-aggressive and straightforward. Rarely, if ever, getting out of line.

1 limper, folds to villain on button who raises to $25.

Hero in SB looks down at A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and re-raises $125 total. Villain flat calls.

FLOP: K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Hero leads for $200, Villain min-raises to $400...

What is my play? Thoughts on pre-flop action as well.

I think AK, Hearts are in his range. I guess he could have a set, but I think AK plays like this. Also you have Ah, so it's not as likely for him to have a suited hand with a pair. I would think he would reraise with KK. I guess he could cold all with KK, AA...but 55 or 66 doesn't seem reasonable. I can't put a 5x heart hand in his range.

From your desciption it makes it a little tougher, the only hand I'm worried about is KK. Hope for AK, AA freeroll, etc.

125 is fine if hes real loose and bad but id probably make it 105.

At this point I had him on AK or KK. I did not think he was bad enough to flat a $100 raise with 55 or 66 and I did not think he was aggro enough to stick so much in with hearts.

It was close imo and I was playing for my entire stack if I was wrong.

<EDIT> During my thinking through the hand the villain called the clock on me (I had taken a little time by now) How do we view this? Is this weak or strong?

I would guage this as strong. BLuffers ussually dont want to do any action that may induce a call. But this isnt too relevant since if he raised with AK, he probably thinks he is ahead.

the fact that you have the A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] is a bad thing.

I think this is exactly right, you're just not going to see 55 or 66 here, much less 78hh. Him calling the clock would tilt me into shoving.

Yeah, i shove. Std cooler.

Is this because it is harder for me to make the laydown with the backdoor flush draw or...???

The one thing that I am wondering about is your table image. Have you 3-bet out of the blinds recently? Have you 3-bet anything recently?

Most games this size for most players your line is screaming AA, if he's decent he noticed that.

If you have done anything to show this vilain that you are loose enough to do this without AA (pf and on flop) then he could be as light as KQ or QQ and it is an easy shove.

If this is the first hand you played in 2 hrs then it is an easy fold.
