4/180: good sqeeze?

BTN had open minraised a couple times so I figured it was a weakish range. Other than that villains both standard 4/180 donks.

i dont know if a shove is necessary. in case button has somehow woken up with a hand this time and is simply going along with his standard betting pattern you're putting your tourney life at risk. Reraise to 2000-2500ish... if you think he's still calling a raise like this then find another player to squeeze on ? i could be wrong, but just my opinion.

Also SB only has 1900ish left, he might be calling pretty wide here just because of the odds, theres 1800 in the potif you 3 flat... hes getting 2:1ish so.. I'm not sure. He's clearly not strong though, he would shove anything decent here with 1050 already in the pot and him having 2300 left

meh, with your read, its not a terrible play, but i'd be surprised if it was significantly +EV. seems pretty marginal with 1 player likely calling. i dont see the SB folding like ever. but it is a 4/180 so anything is possible.

so, i think its definitely a high variance play that could be +EV with the correct read. the SB calling 1/4 of his stack (with 8 BBs to start) is gnarly. i'd definitely be laying it down without a strong read.

I neither think that this is a squeeze, nor do I like it.

1) Why no squeeze? Button is in a squeeze situation if he has to fear the reaction of the live player behind him. This is not the case here! SB has significantly less chips, so if Button has a hand to call your shove, it could be pretty meaningless to him if SB comes along. A squeeze play here would be a minraise to 1.2k for example where Button had to ask himself if he is playing the hand for 1.2k or for 2.3k (if SB shoves behind him) or even for 7.7k (if SB shoves and Hero reshoves). That makes life difficult for him!! The given situation here instead is pretty simple ...

2) For me itīs a resteal instead - while not stealing from one player but from two. And the amount of chips you put on the line is definitely too high to be worth it. Iīm too lazy to make the math but I think even the small possibility of some percent to be against QQ-AA/AK (at Button) in combination with SBīs small stack here makes it at least very close ...

ADDED: I just reread your post and read that you characterized your opps. as "standard donks". In this case it makes even less sense to squeeze as a squeeze requires a reasonable, thinking player!

you squeezed with too good of a hand. i prefer to bust out the 72o for squeezes.

and you also didn't performa true squeeze. you dont have to bet your whole stack here. one of the reasons i said you squeezed with too good of a hand is cause if BTN repops it, its hard to lay down an ace getting such great odds (although you'd probably have to do it). with 85o you can easily muck it and figure out why it didnt work.

betting your whole stack here is very donkish. i'd wait for a better spot to pull a play like this.

Going back to your read of the button, you said he had min-raised a few times before. Was this from the button or in EP/MP because these are very different things.

I'm normally pretty wary of the min-raise from the CO or button, unless I have evidence to the contrary I assume that they have a good hand they are looking for action on.

Stack sizes are terrible for a squeeze.

As Jammy already said, button has not to worry what SB will do.

SB has already invested 20% of his stack, so it's likely he will come along.

You got good odds, so I would call - but i don't think it's a major mistake to fold it.

In the 4/180 squeezes don't work very good - don't wonder if button looks you up with ATo here.
